The video of the closing session of the fourth season of the Animal Law Clinic is now available on our YouTube channel and on the DALPS homepage.
You can watch the full session from 29 May 2025, which focused on 'Animals in the Brazilian Civil Code'. The speakers were:
- Prof. Dr. Vicente de Paula Ataide Junior (University of Paraná Law School), who discussed the change in the legal status of animals in the Brazilian Civil Code based on his experience as a member of the commission responsible for proposing amendments to the Code;
- Prof. Yuri Fernandes Lima from the Federal University of Paraná and a member of the ‘Zoópolis’ research group led by Prof. Ataide, who discussed the multispecies family in the Brazilian Civil Code reform project, as well as Vania Maria Tuglio, a Federal Prosecutor for the Environment and Animals in São Paulo, who acted as moderator.
