CALL FOR PAPERS – DALPS Vol. 2026

DALPS (Derecho Animal. Animal Legal and Policy Studies) invites scholars, researchers, and legal practitioners to submit original articles for its 2026 volume.

As a leading open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to Animal Law and interdisciplinary animal studies, DALPS welcomes contributions that advance theoretical, comparative, and practical perspectives on the legal status of animals and their protection across different legal systems and historical contexts.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Animal Law theory and its foundations
• Comparative legal approaches to animal protection and animal rights
• Historical perspectives on animals in law
• Interdisciplinary studies connecting critical animal studies and animal welfare law
• Recent developments in animal legislation and jurisprudence

Submission deadline: March 31, 2026

All manuscripts will undergo rigorous double-blind peer review. We welcome submissions in Spanish, English, Italian, German, and Portuguese.
